Relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y actitudes hacia el tratamiento en pacientes con tuberculosis pulmonar, hospital “Santiago Apóstol” Utcubamba, 2019

Abstract

The main objective of this thesis was to know the relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitudes of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis towards treatment at the Santiago Apostol Hospital. The research design developed corresponds to the quantitative approach, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional level. The study population and sample consisted of 30 patients receiving anti-tuberculosis treatment. For data collection, a survey validated at the time by Huaynates13 was used, whose reliability according to Kuder Richardson was 0.86, which makes it a reliable instrument. The results were obtained: To determine if there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge about the treatment of pulmonary TB and the attitudes towards it, it was carried out using the Chi-square statistical test with a significance level of 5%; Regarding the level of knowledge about pulmonary TB, 63.3% of the patients have a medium level of knowledge and show an attitude of rejection; Of those who have a high level of knowledge, 26.7% also show an attitude of rejection, of them only 3.3% have an attitude of acceptance of said treatment, concluding that we must accept the null hypothesis (Ho), with which we indicates that there is no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of patients about the treatment of pulmonary TB.
