This research called "Effect of the application of gibberellic acid on the yield of watermelon (Citrullus lanatus), in Collicate - Bagua Grande, Amazonas, 2020"; Its objectives are: To determine the most suitable dose for the cultivation of watermelon, to estimate the performance of the treatments, to propose a dose of gibberellic acid for the cultivation. For this, 4 treatments were used T1: 20ml + 20 liters of water, T2: 25 ml + 20 liters of water, T3: 30 ml +20 liters of water, T0: Control (without application); the times for the applications were the following: 1st application (pre-flowering), 2nd application (fruit filling); which were arranged in a completely randomized block design (DBCA) with 3 repetitions. The population consisted of 324 watermelon plants and 10 plants were sampled. According to the results obtained from the 4 study variables, treatment 2 (T2) was obtained, with a dose of gibberellic acid 25 ml / 20lt water, where the average number of fruits per plant was 5, average length of 35.3 cm, diameter 19.1 cm and an average weight of 8,576 kg. On the other hand, the lowest results were those of the T0 (control), where the number of fruits per plant is 2, length of 22.4 cm, diameter of 15.7 cm and weight of 4,174 kg; for the latter, the difference with the best T2 treatment is 4,402 kg, which is half the average weight with the best performance. Regarding the treatments T1 and T3, they were very similar, both having a result of 3 fruits per plant, length of 27.2 and 28.0 cm, diameter of 16.4 and 17.4 cm and finally the result of weights for T1 and T3 has been 5,679 and 5,892 kg.es_PE
